Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer is an American actress with a career that spans over 30 years and multiple genres.  She was born on April 29th, 1958 in Santa Ana, California to father Richard Pfeiffer and mother Donna.
Michelle's very first job was acting as a Disney character during Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Parade.  She played the inquisitive Alice from Disney's classic Alice in Wonderland.
As a young adult, Michelle's all-American looks helped her to work her way up the pageant circuit and eventually win the Miss Orange County Beauty Pageant in 1978. She also trained to be a court stenographer before realizing that acting was her true calling.
Michelle Pfeiffer experienced rocky beginnings in Hollywood as she struggled with drinking and drug abuse.  She moved in with an exploitative and cult-like family while she took acting courses, and ended up giving them a majority of her earnings.  Michelle auditioned to be Kate Jackson's replacement in the popular TV series Charlie's Angels, but didn't succeed.  She landed a role in the 1982 film Split Image, which required her to research cults and cult de-programmers.  This experience gave her the perspective required to break away from bad influences and focus on larger projects.
Pfeiffer has been landing sizeable roles in films and television since 1980, but her breakout performance was as Elvira Hancock alongside Al Pacino in 1983's classic Scarface.  Her other notable roles are Catwoman in Batman Returns , Claire Spencer in 2000's What Lies Beneath and more recently, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard in 2012's Dark Shadows.
Michelle has been married twice, first in 1983 to fellow actor Peter Horton.  The two eventually split, and Michelle married writer and producer David E. Kelley in 1993.  The pair have two children, daughter Claudia Rose and son John Henry.  Pfeiffer is a strict vegan, eschewing all animal products from her diet.  In her spare time, Pfeiffer loves to oil paint.  Though less active in films during the mid-2000s, Pfeiffer is said to be delving back into the business now that her children are grown and pursuing their own interests.
